Web Series Worth Watching: Alex Quiroga in it could be worse

Web Series of the Week: it could be worse
Broadway actor Alex Quiroga (Wicked, Taboo) doesn't say anything in the latest episode of this new web series, but he's certainly very nice to look at - and he can sit on my kitchen counter in his tighty whities anytime. it could be worse tells the story of Jacob Gordon (played by co-creator Wesley Taylor from TV's Smash), a young actor whose life just isn't going that well. Quiroga plays one of Jacob's mother's boy toys, and five-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald makes a guest appearance as Jacob's grieving therapist whom he tries to comfort. The series is a quirky dark comedy that I'm enjoying so far, and it's definitely worth checking out.

Below you can watch the second episode as well as Quiroga's "It Gets Better" video - so you can hear him speak! To watch the first episode, go to itcouldbeworse.tv. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

Other web series worth watching this week are:

DeVanity
This sordid soap opera continues as Jason pays a visit to his biological father, Preston Regis (played by Gordon Thomson, who was Adam Carrington on TV's Dynasty). To watch DeVanity from the beginning, go to www.devanity.com. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

F to 7th
In the latest episode of this "homoneurotic" comedy, the fabulous Amy Sedaris guest stars as Ingrid's margarita-loving Aunt Kate, who seems a little too interested in her niece's sex life. For more information on the series, go to fto7th.com. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter.

Hustling
Another season of this sexy drama comes to an end as creator/producer/star Sebastian La Cause leaves us wanting more. In the finale, Jay begins a new career in gay porn, while Ryan negotiates a deal. For more Hustling, go to www.hustling.tv or subscribe to its YouTube Channel. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

THE INN
And now for something completely different from Steve Silverman, the creator of the hilarious web series, PRETTY. His new horror story stars Crystal Chappell (Days of our Lives, Guiding Light) as "Jane", who ends up at the inn after her car breaks down in the first episode. For more information, go to www.theinnseries.com. You can also follow the series on Facebook.

Old Dogs & New Tricks
In the latest episode of this groovy gay series, Ross agrees to have coffee with an adoring young fan (played by a cute Marc Anthony Samuel), while Brad's doctor delivers some surprising news. To catch up on Old Dogs & New Tricks, go to OldDogsNewTricksTheSeries.com or subscribe to its YouTube channel. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

Steam Room Stories
In the latest episode, the guys discuss their big plans for Valentine's Day. To watch more hot hunks, go to www.SteamRoomStories.com. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter.

Steve Hayes: Tired Old Queen at the Movies
My favorite film critic reviews Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound (1945) starring Ingrid Bergman as a psychiatrist who treats and falls in love with an amnesiac and possibly homicidal doctor (played by Gregory Peck). For more TOQ, subscribe to his YouTube Channel. You can also become a fan on Facebook or follow Steve on Twitter.

The 3 Bits
Created by Max Freeman and Margaret Singer, this new series is "a queer show about sex, love, booze, drugs, friendship, family and amazing acts of stupidity - but mostly sex." Sounds fun to me - and it stars the cute Cole Escola, who always makes me laugh. Check out the trailer below, and for more information, visit www.the3bits.com. You can also become a fan of the series on Facebook.

Thurston
In the latest episode, Jo puts her medical skills to the test. To catch up on this dramatic Western, go to www.thurston-series.com. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

Very Mary-Kate
In the latest episode of this comedy series about the self-absorbed former Full House actress, Mary-Kate makes a French connection during a dinner party. To experience Very Mary-Kate from the very beginning, go to verymarykate.com. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter.
