Web Series Worth Watching: I'm enjoying EastSiders' eye candy

Web Series of the Week: EastSiders
I'm enjoying Kit Williamson's groovy gay series even more now that it has returned with new episodes on LogoTV.com. Last week's surprise plot twist was deliciously soapy, and the talented cast couldn't be better - or better-looking (my favorite EastSiders eye candy is Matthew McKelligon's Jeremy, whose popularity as a lover is understandable). And this week's episode introduces us to two new characters - Cal's hard-drinking mother Val (played by gay icon Traci Lords) and his boss Paul (played by the handsome Sean Maher, who came out in 2011 while appearing on NBC's short-lived The Playboy Club).

Other web series worth watching this week are:

Ave 43
This twisted soap opera continues as Brenda seeks revenge on Fran with a batch of chocolate chip cookies, Natalie loses control of the Twat Club, and Phil takes a fall. If you haven't watched Ave 43 before, I recommend that you start at the very beginning on its YouTube channel. You can also become a fan of the series on Facebook.

Conversations W/ My Ex
This new LGBT web series about three ex-couples (one gay, one straight and one lesbian) continues as Janie's friend Marti (played by drag performer/comedian Marti Gould Cummings) gives her some advice, while Michael takes a shower and has coffee with his ex Josh. To catch up on the series, go to Gwist TV on YouTube. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter.

it could be worse
In the latest episode of this dark comedy, Jacob's agent Sam starts a new beginning in his apartment - and Ugly Betty's Michael Urie makes a guest appearance. To catch up on it could be worse, go to itcouldbeworse.tv. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter.

Old Dogs & New Tricks "Is This Goodbye?" Special
Check out this retrospective look at the creation and first two seasons of ODNT, featuring never-before-seen audition clips and backstage video as well as new interviews with the cast. Also, if you would like to see a third season, click here to make a donation to their current IndieGoGo campaign (they are planning to film 10 new episodes to debut in early 2014).

Steve Hayes: Tired Old Queen at the Movies
My favorite film critic reviews the 1953 musical, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, starring Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe. For more TOQ, subscribe to his YouTube Channel. You can also become a fan on Facebook or follow Steve on Twitter.

The 3 Bits
This "queer show about sex, love, booze, drugs, friendship, family and amazing acts of stupidity - but mostly sex" continues as Roman's "exclusive" relationship with her girlfriend hits the rocks due to some stolen weed and a frisky client. To catch up on The 3 Bits, visit www.the3bits.com. You can also become a fan of the series on Facebook.
