Top 10 Tuesday of Groovy Tunes: You Belong to Carly Simon

Each week I feature 10 groovy tunes that have appeared on Billboard's Hot 100 chart during the last 50+ years. You can vote for your three favorites, and the five with the most votes move on to the following week when five new songs will be added to the list.

Last week there was a three-way tie at the top between the Mamas & the Papas, the 5th Dimension and Eurythmics, who each received 20 votes out of the 123 cast. And this week they will be challenged by Madonna, Level 42 and Carly Simon.

1) "California Dreamin'"/The Mamas & the Papas (Last Week #1, Week 10) - 17 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1966

1) "(Last Night) I Didn't Get to Sleep at All"/The 5th Dimension (W2) - #8 the week of June 17, 1972

1) "Here Comes the Rain Again"/Eurythmics (LW #4, W12) - 20 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1984

4) "Do You Know the Way to San Jose"/Dionne Warwick (LW #3, W3) - #21 the week of June 15, 1968

5) "It's Not Unusual"/Tom Jones (W2) - #12 the week of June 12, 1965

6) "Midnight at the Oasis"/Maria Muldaur (DEBUT) - #10 the week of June 15, 1974

7) "On Broadway"/George Benson (DEBUT) - #8 the week of June 17, 1978

8) "You Belong to Me"/Carly Simon (DEBUT) - #9 the week of June 17, 1978

9) "Borderline"/Madonna (DEBUT) - #10 the week of June 16, 1984

10) "Something About You"/Level 42 (DEBUT) - #10 the week of June 14, 1986
