Remembering Cory Monteith 1982 - 2013

When I first read about Cory Monteith's death late last night, I was hoping it was just an online hoax and that he was alive and well. But sadly it was true. The 31-year-old actor will always be remembered for his performance as Finn Hudson on TV's Glee, but he also appeared on the ABC Family series, Kyle XY (in 2006-07), and the 2007 MTV series, Kaya, and in such films as Monte Carlo (2011) and the upcoming All the Wrong Reasons and McCanick.

Below I've selected some of my favorite Glee performances featuring Monteith, who will be greatly missed on the show.

Finn, Rachel and New Directions' performance of "Don't Stop Believin'" in the "Pilot" episode on May 19, 2009.

Finn's performance of "Jessie's Girl" in the Season 1 episode, "Laryngitis", on May 11, 2010.

Finn, Rachel and New Directions' performance of "Faithfully" in the Season 1 episode, "Journey to Regionals", on June 8, 2010.

Finn and Rachel's duet of "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" in the Season 2 episode, "Duets", on October 12, 2010.

Finn's performance of "Just the Way You Are" in the Season 2 episode, "Furt", on November 23, 2010.

Finn's performance of "I've Gotta Be Me" (with Mike Chang) in the Season 2 episode, "Born This Way", on April 26, 2011.

Finn and Rachel's duet of "We've Got Tonight" in the Season 4 episode, "I Do", on February 14, 2013.
