Reeling in the Aisles: A benefit for Chicago's LGBT International Film Festival on Sept. 25

After a year hiatus, Reeling: The Chicago LGBT International Film Festival is returning November 7-14 - and to kick things off, they're throwing a party and fundraising event at Sidetrack (3349 N. Halsted) on Wednesday, September 25, from 7 to 9 pm. The evening will include an announcement of the festival's film line-up, a screening of queer movie clips, a complimentary drink and a chance to win fabulous door prizes!

Reeling has already announced two films, both making their Chicago debut - James Franco's Interior. Leather Bar., in which Franco, collaborating with director Travis Mathews, reimagines the rumored lost S&M bar footage from William Friedkin's controversial 1980 film, Cruising; and Black Box, writer-director-actor Stephen Cone's highly anticipated follow-up to his critically-acclaimed 2011 movie, The Wise Kids. Also, most of this year's screenings will be held at the Logan Theatre (2646 N. Milwaukee).
