Top 10 Tuesday of Groovy Music #7

Each week I feature 10 groovy albums that have appeared on the Billboard 200 (aka Top LPs) chart during the last 50+ years. You can vote for your three favorites, and the five with the most votes move on to the following week when five new albums will be added to the list.

Last week Fleetwood Mac remained at the top with their 1977 album, Rumours, which received 31 votes out of the 149 cast. And this week they will be challenged by Donna Summer, Cyndi Lauper and George Michael.

1) Rumours/Fleetwood Mac (Last Week #1, Week 7) - #1 the week of October 29, 1977

2) Grease soundtrack (LW #1, W6) - #2 the week of November 4, 1978

3) Madonna/Madonna (W2) - #8 the week on November 3, 1984

4) Carpenters/Carpenters (LW #3, W4) - #7 the week of October 30, 1971

5) Private Dancer/Tina Turner (LW #5, W5) - #3 the week of November 3, 1984

6) The Graduate soundtrack (DEBUT) - #14 the week of November 2, 1968

7) Live and More/Donna Summer (DEBUT) - #3 the week of November 4, 1978

8) She's So Unusual/Cyndi Lauper (DEBUT) - #13 the week of November 3, 1984

9) Hunting High and Low/a-ha (DEBUT) - #15 the week of November 2, 1985

10) Faith/George Michael (DEBUT) - #9 the week of October 29, 1988

What an interesting mix of music this week! I'm voting for Cyndi, George and (of course) Karen & Richard.

Finally a week that was a little easier! None of the music is bad, even A-HA has it's bubblegum pleasure, but three were ones I instantly leaned towards. Two reruns, Fleetwood Mac and the Carpenters of course, and The Graduate soundtrack contains so much amazing music I hope it stays on the list for a while.
