Web Series Worth Watching: Matthew Clarke & Francis Mossman in Australia's gay web drama, The Horizon

Web Series of the Week: The Horizon
This steamy gay soap opera set in Sydney, Australia, was created by producer Adam Jones and TV writer Boaz Stark in 2009, but I only recently became a fan. Now in its third season, The Horizon tells the story of Jake, a young man who is still pining over his cheating ex-lover AJ. Meanwhile, AJ has moved on to an open relationship with a hunk named Saxon that includes threesomes. And then there's Millie and her gay boyfriend Micky, who has gone missing after Jake discovered that he was fooling around with AJ. In addition to all this sudsy drama, the series features a lot of hot eye candy - including Matthew Clarke as Micky, Adam George as Saxon, and guest star Francis Mossman as Stevie (whom Jake meets at a nightclub). I also enjoy the scene-stealing performance of Patrick James as Jake's drag queen friend Wilma, who dispenses her wise advice with a fabulous sense of humor. And, finally, I must commend The Horizon for promoting the importance of safe sex while entertaining us with plenty of close encounters of the queer kind.

Below you can watch the first three episodes of Season 3. To catch up on the first two seasons of The Horizon, go to www.thehorizon.tv or subscribe to its YouTube channel. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter.
