Web Series Worth Watching: Help Fund Season 2 of EastSiders

Web Series of the Week: EastSiders
This gay drama was one of my favorite new web series of 2013, and it won Best Web Drama at the 2013 LA Weekly Awards as well as five Groovy Awards last year, including Grooviest Drama and Grooviest Actor in a Drama (As the World Turns' Van Hansis). Season One left the series' main couple, Cal and Thom, uncertain of their future together, and now creator Kit Williamson is excited to continue their story with a second season featuring new cast members Willam Belli (RuPaul's Drag Race, Nip/Tuck) and Adam Bucci (The 10 Year Plan, Steam Room Stories). So if you would like to see more EastSiders, click here to donate to their Kickstarter campaign.

To catch up on the first season, go to eastsiderstheseries.com. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter. The above photos are by Alex Dean.

Other web series worth watching this week are:

Ave 43
Irene gives Keith a bad review in the latest episode of this deliciously twisted soap opera. If you haven't watched Ave 43 before, I highly recommend that you begin with Episode 1 on its YouTube channel. You can also become a fan of the series on Facebook.

Dating Dave
Created by and starring Kyle Blitch, this new (and mostly improvised) gay series follows Dave Denver, a sassy 25-year-old gay man in L.A., and his endless ferris wheel of bad dates. You can follow Dating Dave at datingdaveshow.com as well as on Twitter and Facebook.

Steam Room Stories
It's Easter in the steam room as the guys talk about boy bunnies in the latest episode of this sexy sketch comedy. For more SRS, go to www.steamroomstories.com. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter.

Submissions Only
The third season of this delightful comedy continues as Penny looks for a new living situation in NYC and Serena hosts a game night for the Jeremy's Fort cast. Go to BroadwayWorld.com to watch the latest episode or catch up on previous ones. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.
