Remembering Joe Cocker and his music

To celebrate the life and career of singer Joe Cocker, who died Monday at age 70, I've selected some of his groovy music for your listening pleasure:

"With a Little Help from My Friends" (1968) was used as the theme song for the 1988-93 ABC series, The Wonder Years.

"You Are So Beautiful" (1974) reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

"Up Where We Belong" with Jennifer Warnes - from the 1982 film, An Officer and a Gentleman - reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.  It also won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song as well as a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

"You Can Leave Your Hat On" was featured in the 1986 film, 9½ Weeks, starring Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke.
