31 Cold Days of Hot Guys #10: Billy Magnussen

This month DEEP DISH is featuring a different hot guy(s) every day to warm you up during this cold winter season.

Before we get to today's Hot Guy, I want to dedicate this post - as well as Sunday and Monday's Hot Guys - to my friend Bob Wood, who passed away on Tuesday. He loved Broadway musicals and beautiful men so I think he would have enjoyed being featured with Mr. Magnussen, who plays Rapunzel's Prince in the film version of Into the Woods. The photo below is of Bob and his friend Zachery Allan Starkey after seeing Kinky Boots on Broadway in 2013.

Today's Hot Guy is 29-year-old actor Billy Magnussen, who received a 2013 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. He made his Broadway debut in the 2007 revival of Terrence McNally's comedy, The Ritz, and last August he starred Off-Broadway in the play, Sex with Strangers.

In addition to Into the Woods, his film and television credits include As the World Turns (2008-10), Happy Tears (2009), Twelve (2010), Damsels in Distress (2011), Surviving Family (2012) and Steven Spielberg's new movie, St. James Place, which will be released in October.
