31 Cold Days of Hot Guys #26: Paul Newman

This month DEEP DISH is featuring a different hot guy(s) every day to warm you up during this cold winter season.

Today's Hot Guy is Academy Award-winning actor Paul Newman (1925-2008), who would have celebrated his 90th birthday today.

Below you can watch Mr. Newman on two game shows - I've Got a Secret (1956) and as the Mystery Guest on What's My Line (1959) - and in the films, The Young Philadelphians (1959), Sweet Bird of Youth (1962), Hud (1963), Cool Hand Luke (1967) and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969).

A handsome man and talented actor. He and Joanne Woodward always seemed so well matched and they certainly were admirably altruistic. Sadly I read a few days ago that Joanne is suffering from Alzheimer's and may not be with us for much longer. Very sad but they both have a tremendous legacy of classic performances for us to enjoy.

I'm sad to hear that Ms. Woodward has Alzheimer's - but I agree with you, Joel, that both she and her handsome husband have left us with many wonderful performances to enjoy.
