Remembering Donna Douglas 1932 - 2015



Actress Donna Douglas, who died Thursday at age 82, will always be remembered as Elly May Clampett in the 1962-71 CBS sitcom, The Beverly Hillbillies, and the 1981 TV movie, The Return of the Beverly Hillbillies. Other credits include the feature films, Career (1959), Li'l Abner (1959), Lover Come Back (1961) and Frankie and Johnny (1966) opposite Elvis Presley. She later became a gospel singer and inspirational speaker as well as an author of children's books and a cookbook. And in 1963, Douglas was named Miss Golden Globe by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
