Live from New York, it's SNL's Top 10 Moments of 1992-94

To celebrate Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary on October 11, I thought it would be fun to feature some of the show's most memorable moments (in chronological order). Click here to see previous posts - and now let's look back at SNL's 18th and 19th seasons (1992-94):

1) "Clinton at McDonald's"
Episode 334/December 5, 1992
President-Elect Bill Clinton (Phil Hartman) and his Secret Service agents jog into a D.C. McDonald's (host Tom Arnold plays the manager).

2) "The Chris Farley Show"
Episode 339/February 13, 1993
A very nervous Chris Farley interviews musical guest Paul McCartney on his talk show.

3) "Matt Foley: Motivational Speaker"
Episode 345/May 8, 1993
Chris Farley plays Matt Foley for the first time in a sketch featuring host Christina Applegate.

4) "Sassy's Sassiest Boys"
Episode 351/October 30, 1993
Russell Clark (Phil Hartman), the editor of Sassy Magazine, interviews host Christian Slater, Joey Lawrence (Mike Myers) and Andrew McCarthy (Jay Mohr).

5) "Coffee Talk"
Episode 354/December 4, 1993
Host Linda Richman (Mike Myers) welcomes her new boyfriend Patrick O'Callahan (host Charlton Heston) as her very special guest.

6) "Gap Girls at the Mall"
Episode 357/January 15, 1994
Featuring Adam Sandler as Lucy, David Spade as Kristy, Chris Farley as Boss, host Sara Gilbert as Missy, and Rob Schneider as Tammy.

7) "The Love Boat: The Next Generation"
Episode 358/February 5, 1994
This Love Boat-themed parody of Star Trek: The Next Generation features host Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard, Rob Schneider as Data, Melanie Hutsell as Charo, David Spade as Joan Rivers, and Bernie Kopell in a cameo appearance as "Doc".

8) "Canteen Boy and the Scout Master"
Episode 359/February 12, 1994
NBC received many complaints about this infamous sketch featuring host Alec Baldwin as a scoutmaster who makes sexual advances toward Adam Sandler's Canteen Boy. Baldwin discussed the controversial sketch during his monologue the next time he hosted on December 10, 1994.

9) "Total Bastard Airlines"
Episode 362/March 19, 1994
David Spade and host Helen Hunt play bitter flight attendants who are rude to their passengers.

10) "Melrose Place"

The sketch also features other Melrose Place characters, including Jake (Chris Farley), Jo (Julia Sweeney), Billy (Adam Sandler), Alison (Melanie Hutsell), Jane (David Spade), Matt (Jay Mohr), Sydney (Sarah Silverman) and Michael (Rob Schneider).
