Live from New York, it's SNL's Top 10 Moments of 1994-96



To celebrate Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary on October 11, I thought it would be fun to feature some of the show's most memorable moments (in chronological order). Click here to see previous posts - and now let's look back at SNL's 20th and 21st seasons (1994-96):

1) "Men on Film"
Episode 383/April 8, 1995
Host Damon Wayans reprises his role as Blaine Edwards from Fox's In Living Color as he helps Roger Ebert (Chris Farley) explore his gay side. David Alan Grier also makes a brief appearance as Anton Merryweather.



2) "Leg Up"
Episode 387/September 30, 1995
In her first episode as a cast member, Cheri Oteri plays Debbie Reynolds opposite Molly Shannon's Ann Miller as they interview Showgirls star Elizabeth Berkley (host Mariel Hemingway).



3) "Halloween in New Hampshire"
Episode 390/October 28, 1995
Republican Presidential hopefuls visit a New Hampshire homeowner on Halloween. Featuring Norm Macdonald as Bob Dole, Darrell Hammond as Bill Clinton, David Koechner as Phil Gramm and Cheri Oteri as Ross Perot with guest appearances by Bill Bradley and Lamar Alexander.



4) "Mary Katherine Gallagher"
Episode 390/October 28, 1995
Mary Katherine Gallagher (Molly Shannon) makes her first appearance as she auditions for the school talent show. Host Gabriel Byrne also appears in the sketch.



5) "Spartan Cheerleaders"
Episode 391/November 11, 1995
Craig (Will Ferrell) and Arianna (Cheri Oteri) make their SNL debut as they cheer for the Spartans even though they're not part of the cheerleading squad.



6) "Leg Up"
Episode 391/November 11, 1995
Debbie Reynolds (Cheri Oteri) and Ann Miller (Molly Shannon) interview host Quentin Tarantino.



7) "Spartan Cheerleaders"
Episode 397/January 20, 1996
Craig (Will Ferrell) and Arianna (Cheri Oteri) cheer at a high school chess tournament.



8) "Leg Up"
Episode 402/March 23, 1996
Debbie Reynolds (Cheri Oteri) and Ann Miller (Molly Shannon) interview Frank Sinatra (host Phil Hartman).



9) "Get Off The Shed II"
Episode 405/May 11, 1996
Frank Henderson (Will Ferrell) and his wife Shirley (host Christine Baranski) yell at their kids.



10) "Roxbury Guys"
Episode 406/May 18, 1996
A new club hopper (host Jim Carrey) joins Steve (Will Ferrell) and Doug Butabi (Chris Kattan) for a wild night on the town.
