Remembering David Canary 1938 - 2015

Actor David Canary, who died on November 16 at age 77, was best known for his roles as twin brothers Adam and Stuart Chandler on the ABC daytime soap opera, All My Children. He joined the cast in 1983 and won five Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series during his 27 years on the show. After leaving All My Children in 2010, Canary returned in September 2011 for its final episodes, and he also appeared as Adam in the 2013 online revival of the series.

Canary made his television debut as Dr. Russ Gehring on ABC's Peyton Place in 1965. He later played Candy Canaday on NBC's Bonanza for four seasons (1967-70, 1972-73), and from 1981-83, he appeared on NBC's Another World as Steve Frame. His feature film credits include Hombre (1967) and The St. Valentine's Day Massacre (1967), and he made his Broadway debut in the 1961 musical, The Happiest Girl in the World.

Below I've selected a few videos to celebrate Mr. Canary's life and career.
