Remembering Nancy Reagan 1921 - 2016

Nancy Reagan, who died earlier today at age 94, was definitely not a groovy person.

I know many of us do not remember her and her husband fondly. However, since she was a part of pop culture as both an actress and a First Lady, I decided to acknowledge her passing here on DEEP DISH.

Her acting credits - as Nancy Davis - include such films as Donovan's Brain (1953) and Hellcats of the Navy (1957), and her final role was in a 1962 episode of the ABC series, Wagon Train. And on March 19, 1983, the First Lady made a guest appearance on the NBC sitcom, Diff'rent Strokes, when she visited Arnold's school to promote her "Just Say No" anti-drug campaign.

Below you can watch Nancy Reagan in a 1960s Crest commercial (with her children Patti and Ron Jr.), on The Dean Martin Show (at 16:42) in September 1973, on 60 Minutes in December 1981, and on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on November 24, 1989.
