Web Series Worth Eating: Tough Love begins its 3rd Season with "Meat"

Web Series of the Week: Tough Love
Created by Steven Bell, this hilarious LGBT series is about two gay best friends - Blaire (Blaire Wendel) and Steven (Bell) - looking for love in New York City. And in its two-part Season 3 premiere, vegetarian Steven goes on a blind date with Marco (Constantin Tripes), a hunky male model who takes him to an exotic meat palace. Meanwhile, Blaire stalks her ex-girlfriend who has moved on from their relationship. As for my review, it's a great episode - Bell and Wendel could not be better as their amusingly neurotic characters, while Mr. Tripes is mighty fine - both in and out of his shirt.

PLEASE NOTE: The next Web Series Worth Watching will be on Sunday, April 17.

Other web series worth watching this week are:

Capitol Hill
This Dynasty-inspired dragtastic series continues its second season with appearances by Jinkx Monsoon from RuPaul's Drag Race and Jason Carter from RuPaul's Pit Crew. To catch up on Capitol Hill, go to caphillseries.com. And you can follow the series on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Child of the '70s
This comedy series ends its 4th season with a big bang and guest star Randy Jones, the original cowboy from the Village People! To catch up on Child of the '70s, go to www.theofficialchildofthe70s.com. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

Coffee House Chronicles
In "Jail Bait", the latest episode of this LGBT anthology series, Dan (Nicholas Downs) goes on a blind coffee date with Owen (Hunter Doohan), who turns out to be much younger than he stated in his online profile. For more Coffee House Chronicles, go to stewartnla.wordpress.com. And you can follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

The New 30
Set in Los Angeles, this new gay web series follows Elliot and his friends as they begin navigating their 40's and discover that it's as crazy, unpredictable and challenging as life in your 30’s! Co-creators Walt Bost and John Sobrack have completed a pilot episode, but now they have created a Kickstarter campaign to help fund five more episodes. Below you can check out their fundraising video and the pilot trailer, and click here to make a donation.

For more information about The New 30, go to www.thenew30series.com. And you can follow the series on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The Outs
It's been three years since this wonderful series came to an end - but now Jack, Mitchell, Oona and Paul are all back for a second season, which you can watch exclusively on Vimeo on Demand. Below you can check out the Season 2 trailer, and go to theouts.com to catch up on Season 1. You can also follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

Self-Obsessed
Based on Sina Grace's autobiographical Image Comics graphic novel, this new series is a comedic look at the life of a gay LA-based cartoonist (Grace) who struggles to find his creative mojo amidst a break-up, a book cancellation, and an overall crisis of faith in his own work. Below you can watch the first two episodes. You can also subscribe to Sina's YouTube channel and follow him on Twitter and Instagram.

Steam Room Stories
Raif Derrazi, Jordan Jones and Kenny Leu star in "Hide My Porn", the latest episode of this steamy sketch comedy. For more SRS, go to www.SteamRoomStories.com. And you can follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

Successful People
Any web series that references Solid Gold (the 1980-88 syndicated TV series) and its host Marilyn McCoo (from The 5th Dimension) is definitely worth watching in my opinion. So check out the latest episodes of this comedy about an unsuccessful songwriting duo. For more Successful People, go to www.successfulpeoplewebseries.com. You can also follow the series on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
