Remembering Ann Morgan Guilbert 1928 - 2016

Actress Ann Morgan Guilbert, who died on Tuesday at age 87, was best known for her roles in two CBS sitcoms - Millie Helper (Rob and Laura Petrie's neighbor) on The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-66) and Grandma Yetta (Fran Fine's grandmother) on The Nanny (1993-99). She was also a regular in two other sitcoms - CBS's The New Andy Griffith Show (1971) and NBC's The Fanelli Boys (1990-91).

Her feature film credits include A Guide for the Married Man (1967), How Sweet It Is! (1968), Grumpier Old Men (1993) as Sophia Loren's mother, and Please Give (2010).

Below I've selected some videos to celebrate Ann Morgan Guilbert's life and career.

In 2010, she was a guest on the syndicated talk show, The Fran Drescher Show.

LOVED her on both Dick Van Dyke and The Nanny, she was so different from one to the other but hysterically funny on each. Great clip from Fran's talk show, she seemed a very relaxed together person. She was terrific in Please Give probably the best part of a film I didn't care much for. This year just doesn't stop taking familiar faces from us!!
