Remembering Charmian Carr 1942 - 2016



Actress Charmian Carr, who died Saturday at age 73, was best known for her role as Liesl, the eldest Von Trapp daughter in the 1965 film version of The Sound of Music. She also starred opposite Anthony Perkins in the Stephen Sondheim musical, Evening Primrose, which aired on the anthology series, ABC Stage 67, in 1966.

Carr later owned an interior design firm, and her most famous client was Michael Jackson, whose favorite film was The Sound of Music. She also co-wrote two books, Forever Liesl (2000) and Letters to Liesl (2001).
