Remembering Mike Connors 1925 - 2017

Actor Mike Connors, who died Thursday at age 91, was best known for his role as detective Joe Mannix in the 1967-75 CBS series, Mannix, for which he won a 1970 Golden Globe Award for Best TV Actor in a Drama. He also starred in the 1959-60 CBS series, Tightrope!, and the 1981-82 ABC series, Today's F.B.I.

His film credits include Sudden Fear (1952), The Ten Commandments (1956), Shake, Rattle & Rock! (1956), Good Neighbor Sam (1964), Where Love Has Gone (1964), Harlow (1965), Situation Hopeless... But Not Serious (1965), Stagecoach (1966), Kiss the Girls and Make Them Die (1966), Avalanche Express (1979) and Nightkill (1980).

Below I've selected some videos to celebrate Mr. Connors' life and career.

He starred in the 1964 drama, Where Love Has Gone, with Bette Davis and Susan Hayward.

Neil Diamond made a special appearance in a Mannix episode that aired on October 7, 1967.

He appeared in the Here's Lucy episode, "Lucy and Mannix Are Held Hostage", on October 4, 1971.

He was a guest on The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour on January 24, 1973.

He was a guest - along with Ken Berry and Dan Dailey - on Mitzi Gaynor's TV special, Mitzi... The First Time, on March 28, 1973.
