1) Groovy Actress: Barbara Hale
Ms. Hale, who died Thursday at age 94, was best known for her role as secretary Della Street in the 1957-66 CBS series, Perry Mason, and 30 TV movies (1985-95) for which she received a 1959 Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Dramatic Series. She also appeared in many feature films, including Jolson Sings Again (1949), The Jackpot (1950), Lorna Doone (1951), The Far Horizons (1955), The Houston Story (1956), Airport (1970), The Giant Spider Invasion (1975) and Big Wednesday (1978), in which she plays the mother of actor William Katt (her real-life son). FX has released two promos for Ryan Murphy's new anthology series starring Jessica Lange as Joan Crawford, Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis, Sarah Paulson as Geraldine Page, Judy Davis as Hedda Hopper, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Olivia de Havilland, and Kathy Bates as Joan Blondell. Feud begins on March 5.
