The Groovy List is looking forward to Game Night, The Post and Swinging Safari



The Groovy List is a weekly roundup of groovy gay pop culture:

1) Groovy Guy: John Hillerman
The actor, who died Thursday at age 84, received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Jonathan Higgins on CBS's Magnum, P.I. (1980-88). Other television credits include the 1975-76 NBC series, Ellery Queen, a recurring role as Ann's boss on CBS's One Day at at Time (1976-80), the 1977-78 CBS sitcom, The Betty White Show (as White's ex-husband), and the sixth and final season (1990-91) of the CBS sitcom, The Hogan Family (as Sandy Duncan's father). He also appeared in such films as The Last Picture Show (1971), What's Up, Doc? (1972), The Thief Who Came to Dinner (1973), Paper Moon (1973), The Naked Ape (1973), Blazing Saddles (1974), Chinatown (1974), At Long Last Love (1975), The Day of the Locust (1975), Lucky Lady (1975), Audrey Rose (1977), Sunburn (1979), History of the World, Part I (1981), Up the Creek (1984) and A Very Brady Sequel (1996).

The Academy Award-winning actress is interviewed by Vogue's editor-in-chief.



7) Groovy Trailer: Game Night
This comedy thriller, which will be released on March 2, follows a group of friends whose game night turns into a murder mystery. The cast includes Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Kyle Chandler, Jesse Plemons, Billy Magnussen, Michael C. Hall and Jeffrey Wright.



8) Groovy Trailer: The Post
Director Steven Spielberg's historical period drama is about the country's first female newspaper publisher of The Washington Post, Kay Graham (Meryl Streep), and its editor, Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks), who join an unprecedented battle between journalist and government in publishing the Pentagon Papers. The film also stars Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk, Tracy Letts, Bradley Whitford, Bruce Greenwood, Matthew Rhys, Carrie Coon, Jesse Plemons, Jessie Mueller and Stark Sands. It will receive a limited release on December 13 and a wide release on January 12.



9) Groovy Trailer: Swinging Safari
This Australian comedy from writer/director Stephan Elliott (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) stars Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue and Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck), and it will be released on January 18.



10) Groovy Web Series: New York Is Dead
