Remembering Margot Kidder 1948 - 2018



Canadian actress Margot Kidder, who died Sunday at age 69, was best known for her role as Lois Lane in four films - Superman (1978), Superman II (1980), Superman III (1983) and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987). Other film credits include Quackser Fortune Has a Cousin in the Bronx (1970), Sisters (1973), Black Christmas (1974), The Great Waldo Pepper (1975), The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1975), 92 in the Shade (1975), The Amityville Horror (1979), Willie & Phil (1980), Heartaches (1981), Some Kind of Hero (1982), Trenchcoat (1983), Little Treasure (1985) and Never Met Picasso (1996).

Kidder starred in two television series - NBC's Nichols (1971-72) and CBS's Shell Game (1987). She also had recurring roles on the 1996-97 NBC sitcom, Boston Common, and the first season (2005) of the Canadian series, Robson Arms.

Kidder won a 2015 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in Children's Programming for R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series. And in 2005, she became a United States citizen.
