Don't Dress for Dinner, Mr. Donovan

I've never watched an episode of Burn Notice, the USA Network's secret agent series, but I have noticed its attractive star, 40-year-old Jeffrey Donovan, who is coming to my town. He will be appearing in the Chicago premiere of Don't Dress for Dinner, a comedy of errors by Boeing-Boeing playwright Marc Camoletti and directed by John Tillinger. The play will begin performances at the Royal George Theatre (where I worked many years ago in the box office) on Nov. 14 and run through Jan. 11. I find it interesting that Donovan, whose career seems to be taking off, is choosing to do a play here in the Windy City for a few months rather than a movie. I assume that they're probably hoping to move the show to Broadway if it does well here. The actor can also be seen in Clint Eastwood's new film, Changeling, with Angelina Jolie. I'm curious to see Mr. Donovan onstage in a comedy, so I will definitely post a review after I go. Finally, here's a short video that just seemed to fit with this blog post.

Burn Notice is a great show. Fun and smart. I love it when they do the marathons and you can watch him all day.
