Battle of the Network Stars #8: 1969-70 TV Season

It's been almost 37 years since Battle of the Network Stars debuted on November 13, 1976, pitting television stars from ABC, CBS and NBC against each other in various sporting events. So I thought it would be fun to revive this competition by featuring the stars of a different TV season every week.

CBS and NBC tied in the seventh Battle, and the following stars will be moving on to Round 2:

Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons/CBS)
Isabel Sanford (The Jeffersons/CBS)
Harold Gould (Rhoda/CBS)
Valerie Harper (Rhoda/CBS)
Julie Kavner (Rhoda/CBS)
Nancy Walker (Rhoda/CBS)
Wesley Eure (Land of the Lost/NBC)
Alison Arngrim (Little House on the Prairie/NBC)
Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie/NBC)
Michael Landon (Little House on the Prairie/NBC)
Angie Dickinson (Police Woman/NBC)
James Garner (The Rockford Files/NBC)
Hal Linden (Barney Miller/ABC)
Abe Vigoda (Barney Miller/ABC)
Darren McGavin (Kolchak: The Night Stalker/ABC)
Clifton Davis (That's My Mama/ABC)

Now on to our eighth battle, which takes us back to the 1969-70 TV season when we welcomed the following 32 stars into our homes:

I'd love to see an episode of THE SURVIVORS.

Funny I loved the Brady Bunch when I was a kid but in every instance except for Greg and Peter I voted against the cast. How could I go against Alice Ghostley, Debbie Reynolds, Karen Valentine and especially Bill Bixby who was just the dreamiest?

Love this contest, it's fun every week to see the challenges even when its full of tough choices.

Doug, I'd love to see The Survivors as well. Here's a link to a promo for the show:

Joel, I'm happy to hear that you're loving my weekly Battles - and I agree about Mr. Bixby - he was the dreamiest!
