Dancing with the Stars: Week 4

So I correctly predicted last night's third elimination, actress Valerie Harper, who received the lowest score (18) for her Viennese waltz, but I'm sad to see her go. She is truly an inspiration on how to live one's life to the fullest and make every moment count. She is an amazing lady, and I will miss both her and her cute dance partner, Tristan MacManus (who took very good care of her during the competition). Also, I got the distinct feeling that Bill Engvall only survived elimination by receiving a slightly better score than Valerie. If they had tied, he might have gone home instead of her. And when host Tom Bergeron unexpectedly announced that Bill was safe after the judges gave him his scores, I knew right then that Valerie had danced her last dance on the show.

Now here are my Week 4 rankings of the remaining stars and their dancing partners in order of preference as well as a prediction of who will be eliminated next week:

1 (Last Week #2) Brant Daugherty & Peta Murgatroyd (Score: 21 out of 30 points)
Their sexy, sizzling salsa only received a score of 21 from the judges, who were way too critical of Brant's shirtless performance. I thought it was the most entertaining dance of the evening, and all of my online votes are going to him this week because he deserves to keep dancing - and smiling - and removing his shirt.

2 (LW #3) Elizabeth Berkley & Valentin Chmerkovskiy (Score: 27)
I enjoyed their stylish Argentine tango, and it was nice to see her supportive friend, Kristin Davis (Sex and the City), in the audience.

3 (LW #4) Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi & Sasha Farber (Score: 24)
I loved their cheerleading jive to Toni Basil's 1981 hit, "Mickey", and the former Jersey Shore star continues to impress me.

4 (LW #7) Jack Osbourne & Cheryl Burke (Score: 24)
Their energetic quickstep was fun to watch.

5 (LW #1) Corbin Bleu & Karina Smirnoff (Score: 27 )
I'm not a fan of the paso doble, but it's hard not to like the cute Mr. Bleu and his bare chest.

6 (LW #10) Bill Engvall & Emma Slater (Score: 21)
Judge Bruno Tonioli said that their samba had no timing or rhythm, but I still found it entertaining.

7 (LW #5) Leah Remini & Tony Dovolani (Score: 24)
Their cha-cha-cha didn't do much for me, but her rehearsal remark, "I just had sex with your leg", made me laugh.

8 (LW #6) Amber Riley & Derek Hough (Score: 27)
Their tango was my least favorite dance of theirs so far, but the judges obviously liked it, giving them three 9s.

9 (LW #8) Christina Milian & Mark Ballas (Score: 24)
Their foxtrot was technically fine and boring to watch.

Who Should and Will Be Eliminated Next Week: Even though I've enjoyed watching Bill Engvall more than Christina Milian this season, I think he will be going home next week.

I'm sorry but Valerie's dance made me cry, nothing else came close. Plus, say what you want about her third week dance, I have played it over and over, it is one of the most joyful things I've seen mistakes and all. I heard someone call Valerie a champagne soaked soul, how very true. And lets list all the ways Tristan is wonderful: letting her take all the applause week one, standing like a guard-dog over her before the judges, shaking his ass in tight white pants to distract everybody from her mistakes(or was that just me?), and singing to her this week (did I see that right?). I hope that man gets all the work he ever wants. Sorry for going on and on but these two really touched me.

I agree with everything you said, Anonymous. And I thank you for sharing your Valerie/Tristan love!
