Remembering Juanita Moore 1914 - 2014

Actress Juanita Moore, who died Wednesday at age 99, received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1959 Douglas Sirk film, Imitation of Life. She also became the fifth African American to be nominated for an Oscar. Her other film credits include The Girl Can't Help It (1956), Tammy Tell Me True (1961), Walk on the Wild Side (1962), Papa's Delicate Condition (1963), The Singing Nun (1966), Abby (1974), Paternity (1981), Two Moon Junction (1988) and The Kid (2000). She also appeared in a 1965 Broadway production of James Baldwin's play, The Amen Corner.
