Remembering Elizabeth Peña 1959 - 2014

Actress Elizabeth Peña, who died Tuesday at age 55, appeared in many films, including El Super (1979), Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986), La Bamba (1987), *batteries not included (1987), Jacob's Ladder (1990), Dead Funny (1994), Lone Star (1996), Rush Hour (1998), Tortilla Soup (2001), How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer (2005) and Nothing Like the Holidays (2008). She also starred in four TV series - the 1986 CBS sitcom, Tough Cookies, the 1987-88 ABC sitcom, I Married Dora, the 1990-91 NBC drama, Shannon's Deal, and the 2000-02 Showtime series, Resurrection Blvd. Her most recent credits include two 2013 episodes of Modern Family (as Gloria's mother Pilar) and a recurring role on the 2014 El Rey series, Matador.
