Remembering Martin Milner 1931 - 2015

Actor Martin Milner, who died Sunday at age 83, was best known for his roles in two television series - Tod Stiles on CBS's Route 66 (1960-64) and Officer Pete Malloy on NBC's Adam-12 (1968-75). He made his film debut in the 1947 comedy, Life with Father, and below I've selected some videos to celebrate his life and career.

He played jazz guitarist Steve Dallas in the 1957 drama, Sweet Smell of Success, starring Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis.

He played Adam opposite Mamie Van Doren's Eve in the 1960 comedy, The Private Lives of Adam and Eve, which also starred Mel Tormé, Tuesday Weld, Paul Anka and co-director Mickey Rooney.

He played Patty Duke's husband in the 1967 drama, Valley of the Dolls.

He played patriarch Karl Robinson in the 1975-76 ABC series, The Swiss Family Robinson, which also starred Willie Aames and Helen Hunt.

He and his Adam-12 co-star, Kent McCord, were reunited in the TV movie, Nashville Beat, which originally aired on October 21, 1989, on The Nashville Network.
