Remembering Wayne Rogers 1933 - 2015

Actor Wayne Rogers, who died Thursday at age 82, was best known for his role as Captain "Trapper" John McIntyre on the CBS series, M*A*S*H, which he played for three seasons (1972-75). His other television credits include the daytime soap opera, Search for Tomorrow (1959), the 1960-61 ABC Western drama, Stagecoach West, the 1976 NBC detective series, City of Angels, the 1977 ABC movie, It Happened One Christmas (with Marlo Thomas), the 1979-82 CBS sitcom, House Calls (for which he received a 1981 Golden Globe nomination), the 1983 CBS miniseries, Chiefs, and the 1985 NBC movie, I Dream of Jeannie... Fifteen Years Later (with Barbara Eden).

His feature film credits include Cool Hand Luke (1967), WUSA (1970), Pocket Money (1972), Once in Paris... (1978), The Hot Touch (1981), The Gig (1985), The Killing Time (1987) and Ghosts of Mississippi (1996). He was also a Broadway producer of such shows as Little Me (1982), Brighton Beach Memoirs (1983) with Matthew Broderick, and The Odd Couple (1985) with Rita Moreno and Sally Struthers.
