The Groovy List #4 starring Steve Grand and Liza Minnelli

The Groovy List is a weekly Top 10 of recommended videos featuring pop culture and gorgeous guys:

1) Groovy Broadway Stars: Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane
This clever comedy sketch from Jimmy Kimmel Live!: After The Oscars features the actors reprising their roles from the Broadway musical, The Producers, in a new movie called Trumped. And Cloris Leachman even makes an appearance!

2) Groovy Talk Show: The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
The cast of Broadway's Fiddler on the Roof makes an amusing appearance.

3) Groovy Gorgeous Guy: Steve Grand
The singer takes a shower while introducing the Pride Edition Merica Tees from (10% of the profits will be donated to LGBT organizations), and he pumps some iron at the gym with his friend Trevor LaPaglia.

4) Groovy Birthday Gal #1: Liza Minnelli
To celebrate Liza's upcoming 70th birthday on March 12, let's go back to January 5, 1966, when she made a guest appearance on The Danny Kaye Show (click here for my 2014 post in honor of Liza's 68th birthday).

5) Groovy Movie Star: Susan Sarandon in The Meddler
The Academy Award-winning actress plays a lonely widow from New York City who follows her daughter (Rose Byrne) to Los Angeles in hopes of starting a new life. The film is scheduled to be released on April 22.

6) Groovy Underwear Expert: DanielXMiller
The Style Reporter (for the popular men's underwear blog) asks some hot male dancers at EDGE Performing Arts Center (in Los Angeles) that important question - Boxers or Briefs?

7) Groovy TV Flashback #1: Family
This ABC drama - starring Sada Thompson and Kristy McNichol - debuted on March 9, 1976, and aired for five seasons. Below you can enjoy the pilot episode and a 2nd season episode, in which Willie's friend is arrested in a gay bar.

8) Groovy Birthday Girl #2: Barbara Feldon
To celebrate her upcoming 83rd birthday on March 11, let's go back to November 5, 1969, when the Get Smart actress made a guest appearance on The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. I've also included a 2007 interview, in which she discusses her 1975 film, Smile.

9) Groovy Movie Trailer: Ghostbusters
This reboot - featuring the handsome Chris Hemsworth as a receptionist - will be released on July 15.

10) Groovy TV Flashback #2: Husbands, Wives & Lovers
Created by Joan Rivers, this hour-long CBS sitcom about five suburban couples debuted on March 10, 1978, but it only aired 10 episodes. Below are the opening credits, which feature actor Ron Rifkin (Alias, Brothers & Sisters).

Some great things. That Nathan Lane/Matthew Broderick is wonderful and would be hysterical if it wasn't so worrying.

Wow, Liza is so very, very young in that clip and looks wonderful before she locked herself into the never changing hairdo.

I LOVED Family, I'll have to find the time to watch that episode.

Best of all is that clip of Barbara Feldon, while I didn't always love Get Smart I adored 99. It was terrific to hear her discuss "Smile" that's a shamefully under known film and she's marvelous in it.

Hey, Joel, I'm so glad you liked this week's Groovy List. And it's always nice to know there are other Smile fans out there (it is an underrated film featuring - in my opinion - Ms. Feldon's best performance).
