Web Series Worth Watching: Artie O'Daly and Theresa Ryan are Successful People

Before we get to this week's web series, I want to give a shout-out to some of my favorites who won awards at the 7th Annual Indie Series Awards on April 6 (click here for a complete list of winners):

The Bay for Best Lead Actress – Drama (Lilly Melgar) and Best Guest Actress - Drama (Kym Whitley)

Capitol Hill for Best Makeup (Erik Warren, Bek Harvey and Pakio Galore)

EastSiders for Best Ensemble - Drama

He's With Me for Best Supporting Actress - Comedy (Darcie Siciliano) and Best Guest Actress - Comedy (Cady Huffman)

Hunting Season for Best Ensemble - Comedy

These People for Best Writing - Comedy (Zac Hug and Jim Rash)

Winterthorne for Best Writing - Drama (Michael Caruso), Best Guest Actor - Drama (Kevin Spirtas) and Best Production Design (Michael Caruso and Barbara Caruso)

Web Series of the Week: Successful People
I'm enjoying this new comedy series created by and starring Artie O'Daly and Theresa Ryan as Chet and Laura, an unsuccessful songwriting duo trying to achieve their dreams. In the latest episodes, Chet shows up drunk (after a night of partying) to a meeting with a high-powered agent, and later he and Laura get made over by a stylist/drug dealer (played by a flamboyantly funny Todd Sherry) in order to stand out on a red carpet. And any series that references David Cassidy, Charles Nelson Reilly and Little House on the Prairie in the same episode is definitely worth watching in my opinion.

PLEASE NOTE: The next Web Series Worth Watching will be on Sunday, May 1.
