The Groovy List is looking forward to Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds

1) Groovy Actor: William Christopher
Mr. Christopher, who died on December 31 at age 84, was best known for his role as Father Mulcahy on the 1972-83 CBS series, M*A*S*H, and its 1983-85 CBS spin-off, AfterMASH. He also played the recurring role of Private Lester Hummel on the CBS sitcom, Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. (1965-68). He made his Broadway debut during the 1962-64 run of the British revue, Beyond the Fringe, and appeared in a national tour of the show. Other stage credits include a 1997 tour of The Odd Couple (with his M*A*S*H co-star Jamie Farr) and a 2008–09 tour of the musical comedy, Church Basement Ladies. 2) Groovy Documentary: Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds
This 2016 documentary about the relationship between Debbie and her daughter Carrie will premiere tomorrow night (January 7) on HBO.

The Tony Award-winning actor (I Am My Own Wife), who is currently appearing in the Broadway revival of The Front Page, is featured on The Broadway Channel's Role Call.

7) Groovy Duo: Nashville's Hayden Panettiere and Charles Esten
The actors promote the new season of their CMT series on AOL's BUILD.

8) Groovy Movie Trailer: I Am Michael
This true story is about a gay activist who rejects his homosexuality and becomes a Christian pastor. The cast includes James Franco, Zachary Quinto, Emma Roberts, Charlie Carver and Daryl Hannah, and it will be released on January 27.

9) Groovy TV Flashback: Flamingo Road
The NBC prime time soap opera was first seen as a TV movie in May 1980, and it debuted as a series on January 6, 1981 (below you can watch this opening two-part episode starring Morgan Fairchild, Mark Harmon and Stella Stevens).

10) Groovy TV Flashback: Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman
The syndicated soap opera spoof aired its first episode on January 6, 1976. Below you can watch a scene starring Louise Lasser (as Mary) and Bruce Solomon (as Sgt. Dennis Foley) and listen to Sammy Davis Jr. sing the show's theme on his 1976 album, The Song and Dance Man.
