The actor, who died July 8 at age 39, was best known for his role as Lafayette Reynolds in the 2008-14 HBO series, True Blood. Other television credits include the 2005 Fox series, The Inside, and the CBS series, Elementary (2016-17). He also appeared in such feature films as Secretariat (2010), The Help (2011), The Butler (2013) as Martin Luther King, Jr., Get on Up (2014) and Little Boxes (2016).
