1) Groovy Guy: Ty Hardin
The actor, who died August 3 at age 87, was born Orison Whipple Hungerford Jr. (his grandmother nicknamed him "Ty" and Warner Brothers changed his stage surname to "Hardin"). He starred in two television series - the 1958-62 ABC Western, Bronco, and the 1969 Australian series, Riptide. Hardin also appeared in some films, including I Married a Monster from Outer Space (1958), The Chapman Report (1962), PT 109 (1963), Palm Springs Weekend (1963), Wall of Noise (1963) and Berserk! (1967) with Joan Crawford. And he turned down the role of Batman in the 1966-68 ABC series because of film commitments overseas. Below you can watch him in Bronco, The Chapman Report and Berserk!

2) Groovy Gal: Laura Dern
The actress, who recently received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for HBO's Big Little Lies, is a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

3) Groovy Gal: Niecy Nash
The actress, who currently stars in TNT's Claws, is a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

4) Groovy Guy: Erik Altemus
The actor (Broadway's Pippin) and musician performs with The Skivvies (Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley) at Joe's Pub on August 7 (photo credit: Luke Fontana).
