1) Groovy Guy: Jerry Van Dyke
The actor, who died Friday at age 86, was best known for his TV role as Luther Van Dam on the 1989-97 ABC sitcom, Coach, for which he received four Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Other television credits include four episodes of his older brother's 1961-66 CBS sitcom, The Dick Van Dyke Show (as Dick's brother), 10 episodes of The Judy Garland Show (1963), Picture This (as the host of this 1963 CBS game show), the 1965-66 NBC sitcom, My Mother the Car, the 1967-68 NBC sitcom, Accidental Family, the 1970-71 CBS series, Headmaster, the 1979 ABC sitcom, 13 Queens Boulevard, two 1997-98 ABC sitcoms, Teen Angel and You Wish, and seven episodes of both the CBS sitcom, Yes, Dear (2001-05), and the ABC sitcom, The Middle (as Patricia Heaton's father) (2010-15). He turned down the role of Gilligan on Gilligan's Island as well as an offer to join The Andy Griffith Show in 1965 when Don Knotts left.

He also appeared in such films as Palm Springs Weekend (1963), McLintock! (1963), Love and Kisses (1965), Angel in My Pocket (1969), Run If You Can (1988) and Moon Ring (2010).

The actor, who has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in the film, Call Me by Your Name, is a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
