Remembering Robert Mandan 1932 - 2018

Actor Robert Mandan, who died on April 29 at age 86, was best known for his role as Chester Tate on the 1977-81 ABC sitcom, Soap. Other television credits include the NBC soap opera, From These Roots (1958-61), the CBS soap opera, Search for Tomorrow (1965-70), the CBS sitcom, Private Benjamin (1982-83), the ABC sitcom, Three's a Crowd (1984-85), the NBC soap opera, Santa Barbara (1990-91), and the NBC soap opera, Days of Our Lives (1997-98). He also appeared in such films as Hickey & Boggs (1972), MacArthur (1977), The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), Zapped! (1982) and The Matchmaker (1997). And his Broadway credits include Maggie Flynn (1968-69), Applause (1970-71) and Mail (1988) as well as the 1973 CBS adaptation of Applause.
