The Groovy List is bustin' out all over with Charlie Carver and Antoni Porowski

The Groovy List is a weekly roundup of groovy gay pop culture:

1) Groovy Gal: Leslie Uggams
This week I'm celebrating the month of June with Leslie Uggams' 2012 interview on Seth's Broadway Chatterbox, which features her infamous performance of "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" (from Carousel) on the PBS special, A Capitol Fourth, that was televised live on July 4, 1995.

2) Groovy Gal: Allyn Ann McLerie
The actress, who died on May 21 at age 91, was probably best known for her performance as Molly Dodd's mother Florence on the 1987-91 NBC/Lifetime series, The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd. Other television credits include the 1976-78 ABC/CBS sitcom, The Tony Randall Show, and the 1978-82 CBS sitcom, WKRP in Cincinnati (in the recurring role of Arthur Carlson's wife Carmen). Her feature film credits include Where's Charley? (1952), Calamity Jane (1953), Phantom of the Rue Morgue (1954), They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969), The Cowboys (1972), Jeremiah Johnson (1972), The Way We Were (1973), Cinderella Liberty (1973) and All the President's Men (1976). She also appeared on Broadway in One Touch of Venus (1943-44), On the Town (1944-46), Where's Charley? (1948-49, 1951), Miss Liberty (1949-50), Redhead (1959-60) as Gwen Verdon's understudy, and West Side Story (1960). McLerie was married to Broadway lyricist/librettist Adolph Green (1945-53) and actor George Gaynes (1953-2016). Below you can watch her in Calamity Jane (with Doris Day), The Tony Randall Show and The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.

3) Groovy Guy: Charlie Carver
The actor, who is currently starring in The Boys in the Band on Broadway, is featured on Fresh Face. I've also included a video of Charlie's recent photoshoot for the U.K.'s Gay Times.

4) Groovy Guy: Antoni Porowski
Queer Eye's food and wine specialist rocks a crop top in Betty Who's remix of the show's theme song, "All Things". The Netflix series returns for a second season on June 15. I've also included a video of Antoni's recent photoshoot for the U.K.'s Gay Times.

5) Groovy Guy: Norbert Leo Butz
The actor, who is currently starring in the Broadway revival of My Fair Lady, is a guest on Side by Side by Susan Blackwell.

6) Groovy Guy: Ethan Slater
The actor, who is currently starring in SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway, is a guest on Show People with Paul Wontorek.

7) Groovy Guy: Steve Hayes - Tired Old Queen at the Movies
The fabulous film critic reviews The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946) starring Barbara Stanwyck and Kirk Douglas in his film debut. You can also see Steve in the musical, La Cage aux Folles, at the Redhouse Arts Center in Syracuse, NY, through June 10 (go to for tickets).
