The Groovy List welcomes back Murphy Brown (and her son)

The Groovy List is a weekly roundup of groovy gay pop culture:

1) Groovy Guy: Marty Balin
The singer/songwriter, who died Thursday at age 76, was the founder of Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship. Along with other members of the two bands, Balin was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996, and he and the other members of Jefferson Airplane were honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. Below you can watch him in a music video for his 1981 solo hit, "Hearts", and in a 1984 interview.

2) Groovy Gal: Candice Bergen
The actress discusses Murphy Brown's return on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I've also included two scenes from the show's first episode featuring Jake McDorman (as Murphy's son Avery Brown) and Hillary Clinton (as Hilary Clendon).

3) Groovy Couple: Michael McKean and Annette O'Toole
McKean (Laverne & Shirley, Better Call Saul and Broadway's The Little Foxes) and O'Toole (Superman III, Smallville), who have been married since 1999, appear on TheaterMania's Broadway First Dates.

4) Groovy Guy: Randy Rainbow
He performs his latest song parody, "KAVANAUGH!"

5) Groovy Music: Barbra Streisand's "Don't Lie to Me"
Listen to the lead single from her new album, Walls, which will be released on November 2 (click here to pre-order it).

6) Groovy Music: Michael Bublé's "When I Fall In Love"
Watch the music video for the lead single from his new album, ❤️ (Love), which will be released on November 16 (click here to pre-order it).

7) Groovy Web Series: Where the Bears Are
In the latest episodes of this award-winning gay comedy mystery web series, the stalker continues his rampage by locking Nelson in a steam room and leaving him to die of heat stroke. To catch up on previous episodes, go to wherethebearsare.tv. You can also follow the show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
