The Groovy List remembers Michel Legrand and his music

The Groovy List is a weekly roundup of groovy gay pop culture:

1) Groovy Guy: Michel Legrand
The French composer and jazz pianist, who died today at age 86, won three Academy Awards for Best Original Song for "The Windmills of Your Mind" from The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) and Best Original Score for Summer of '42 (1971) and Yentl (1983). His other film scores include The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964), The Young Girls of Rochefort (1967), Sweet November (1968), Ice Station Zebra (1968), The Happy Ending (1969), The Go-Between (1971), Brian's Song (1971), Lady Sings the Blues (1972), Gable and Lombard (1976), Ode to Billy Joe (1976), The Other Side of Midnight (1977), Atlantic City (1980) and Best Friends (1982). He also composed the score for the 2002 Broadway musical, Amour.
